Dear family and friends,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We give thanks to God for His provision and protection over the past year and the 9 years before 2020 when we were too busy to write Christmas newsletters as you can see by visiting http://www.mau-kwan-tang.com/my_newsletters.htm .

The above photo was taken on Valentine's Day this year just before the pandemic. It reminds us how blessed we were before the pandemic although we might have taken all the blessings as small as eating out with family and friends for granted.

We should continue to pray for God's compassion and grace to many who are suffering because of the pandemic especially those struggling poor and high-risk people in the US and in the 3rd world countries who cannot even have their basic needs met like food for each day because of financial poverty. We should also pray for those who are in critical conditions because of being infected with COVID-19 virus that God would heal them and that they will believe in Jesus Christ as their savior before their physical lives end here on earth. This is so important because believers in Jesus Christ have eternal life which starts here and now on earth with peace and joy in all circumstances in Jesus Christ. Moreover, even believers of Jesus Christ's lives end here, they will be in the perfect, virus-free, pain-free, illness-free, infinitely joyful and glorious heavenly home which God has prepared for believers of Jesus Christ whose birthday we celebrate on Christmas Day!

John 3:16 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Revelation 21:3-4 NIV [3] And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. [4] 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Despite experiencing a lot of inconveniences and restrictions caused by the pandemic, we praise God for HIS protection, provision, healing and guidance during 2020.

We praise God that because of staying at home more, we are able to spend more time with our family members. By God's grace, we might have started with having more conflicts but in the end when we humble ourselves before God and before people, our relationships become stronger and we cherish each other more than ever.

We praise God that we learn to take better care of ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually at home with our family members including taking walks and working out together, eating healthier home-made meals together, encouraging each other, and praying for each other.

We praise God that our church never really shut down because even during the lockdown time we continue to worship God through the Internet live stream worship service, have Sunday school, prayer meeting and fellowship with life group members through Zoom, baptize new believers, reach out and provide support to people in our community and even the 3rd world countries through practical help, fninancial support and prayers for them. We praise God that our church members continue to give faithfully financially to the church. As a result, our church is able to pay for all 2020 expenses incurred through their giving.

We praise God that God comforted us, gave us peace and hope of our future reunion in heaven when our church family members passed away.

We praise God that God gave us peace and wisdom through our continual prayers for the US presidential election. We believe that God is in control of all and will let HIS justice prevail!

As 2021 draws near, let's stay prayerful that COVID-19 vaccine will reach the high-risk people as soon as possible and then all others in the world will be vaccinated in order that people will resume face-to-face activities and interactions with thankfulness, love and wisdom to glorify God Almighty and bless people in all walks of life as Jesus Christ has done, is doing and will continue to do until He comes back again!

Keep in touch and let us know how you're doing. May your holiday season be filled with joy and peace!

In Christ
Nina & Johnny
