It’s
almost time to rest from all work including shopping to celebrate the completion
of one journey and the start of another.
Most importantly it’s time to rest to celebrate the end
of a human history relying on human works
leading to defeat and death and the beginning
of an era of God’s grace (undeserved favor)
leading to triumph and life, all and only through the birth of the
savior of mankind, Jesus Christ, who has also become my best friend
since March 16th, 1997.
Thanks
to all of your prayers and support I now can rest to celebrate the completion
of
4 years of intensive training at Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS)
and
the
start
of another
stage in life
–
learning to be a shepherd
after the heart of the greatest shepherd, Jesus Christ.

One
journey has ended and another exciting one is about to begin
as I am visiting churches outside
Texas
to find out where I would begin the next one!
It’s by grace I finished the journey at DTS although it
apparently took a lot of hard work also.
But
without grace it’s impossible! Without
grace it is impossible to start the next one either.

It’s
by grace
Nina survived a major surgery earlier this year and other minor health
problems. It’s by grace
Nina and I had a life-changing Short-term Mission trip in June to the
Philippines
. It’s by grace 2
brothers, 2 sisters and I had an eye-opening experience in Panama
Short-term Mission Trip in September.
I
thank the brothers and sisters who provided financial support for our
trip to the
Philippines
and
Panama
! God provided us
abundantly through their support. Thanks
my dear brothers and sisters!

It’s
by grace
Nina and I just celebrated our 7th
Wedding Anniversary marking
7 years of fulfilling marriage life.
Our love for each other has grown much over the past 7 years and
we cherish each other more each day.

Christmas
is a day of grace from God to mankind.
My life is a journey of grace from God to me.
May I always walk by God’s grace not by my own works.
This I pray.
As
we look ahead, we pray that we would “Think
Globally, Act Locally” after the heart of our savior and Lord,
Jesus Christ no matter where we might be.
Yes, let’s “Think
Globally, Act Locally”, for the glory of our savior and Lord,
Jesus Christ.
Merry
Christmas 2006 and Happy New Year 2007!
My dear friends! May
you find abundant grace and live by grace in 2007.
In
the Lord
Johnny
and Nina
